Q: What does THAT icon mean?
A: Check out the Icon Legend to see what each icon stands for!
Q: Why is shipping expensive?
A: Unfortunately, that’s the way the world works. Shipping stuff is expensive. What can I tell ya.
Q: Can I pick my order up at a show?
A: Most orders ship directly to you from the printer, but certain quantities can be picked up at Tinley NARBC shows in march and October. Email me for details! (not available for branded cards)
Q: Can I have a photo of my own animal on the species card for my branded card order?
A: You sure can. Just message me and let me know you wish to customize your branded card order beyond the basic logo and social media links and I will make it happen. Minimum orders of 100 per species and one time membership fee apply.
Q: Are these just for reptiles?
A: I have big plans. Fish, birds, small mammals, exotic species of goats...if it can be kept as a pet, I want it to have a card. New cards are being added often. Check back or watch for updates on Facebook!
Q: When are you going to be making that exotic goat card? (or *insert species request*)
A: I strive to put out 1-2 new cards a month, depending on how busy life gets and how social I plan to be outside my hermit hide. Have a request? Yell at me on facebook. Peer pressure is hard, man.
Q: Where does this information come from? I don't agree with *insert thing you blatantly disagree with*.
A: Ahhh, the ever existing issue of life in general. Opinions. You will always find various opinions on the proper way of keeping a specific pet, and that will never change, even with the best of intentions. Creature Care Cards are proofread by at least two expert, respected keepers and breeders in the hobby before they go to print. The information on the cards is geared towards new keepers; advanced keeping and breeding are not topics covered by this project. The goal is to encourage keepers of all levels and ages to learn, research and do what they feel is best for them and their pet, with CCC's to serve as stepping stones in the right direction. Let's just agree to disagree if you don't agree, agree?
Q: I want one of each. Not 100 of each.
A: That IS an option, actually. Check out the Creature Keeper Card Pack or Book in the shop. Set 1 has one of each of the 30+ currently-in-print card in the pack, and is excellent for classrooms, educational displays, or Really Curious People.
Q: Who ARE you?
A: Hi. My name is Seri (rhymes with berry). No, not like Siri, although by the time I finish this never-ending project, I may know everything about everything. I love animals. I have kept, rescued and bred various reptiles, small mammals, fish and zero exotic goats for over 20 years. My passion is proper care and lifetime commitment. My favorite colors are orange and olive green, I eat toast with a fork, I have 3 corgis and approximately 220ish other assorted pets, all with names I somehow remember. Even the fish. Nice to meet you.
Q: I have more questions.
A: I have answers, I'm sure. If I don't, we will ask Siri together. Shoot me an email.
